LOCATING THE PARTS YOU NEED ON THE GURU'S WEB SITE... IT'S EASY!
Music Parts Guru has thousands of different specialty parts for guitars, amps, speaker systems and keyboards. We have done our best to make shopping for what YOU need as easy as possible. Here are some helpful tips to find what you are seeking:
MAIN MENU
Our main menu is on the left hand side of every parts page. With a quick scroll, you can view every single category of parts we carry..... no "drop down" menus or guessing to try and find where we might have hidden the part description you are looking for. Just click on the category you desire and all parts fitting that description will be at your fingertips.
USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION: SPECIFIC PARTS
To use the search function for specific parts, always start with the PART DESCRIPTION, then the BRAND. Example:
Search = Pickguard Fender
This search will result in every Fender pickguard we currently have on the site. Five pickguards per page will appear.
To narrow your search to pickguards made only for Stratocastsers....
Search = Pickguard Fender Stratocaster
USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION: SPECIFIC MODELS
To find all the parts listed on the site for a specific model, simply type in the model:
Search = Twin Reverb
This search will result in every part where the words Twin Reverb appear in the part description ANYWHERE on the site.
USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION: OTHER TRICKS
The sophisticated search function allows you to enter complete or partial part numbers, complete or partial descriptions, and complete or partial model names/numbers to help you find what you are looking for.
IF YOU CANNOT FIND IT, DON'T DESPAIR, WE CARE ABOUT FINDING WHAT YOU NEED:
We carry SO many parts it will surely take awhile before all of the commonly requested parts are up on the site.... and there will always be those of you who are looking for uncommon, hard to find stuff! We're here to help! You can call us during normal business hours at 630-521-9170, or you can email us at info@musicpartsguru.com
PLEASE BE SPECIFIC AS TO WHAT YOU ARE SEEKING:
"I am looking for the power switch for a Fender Princeton Chorus amp" is what we need.... "I am looking for a Fender power switch" only narrows it down to a few dozen different parts and does not help us help you quickly.
Other tips:
- Be aware that many guitars and amps have the same name but have undergone many changes over they years. A good example would be the Fender "American Strat" guitar which has been made since the 1980s. Older American Strats use the TBX tone control, but in the mid 1990s they went to the "No-Load" pots, and now these guitars may have the "S-1" switching system. They also slightly modified the name to "American Series".
- Provide us the serial number of the instrument or amp. This could help us get the proper breakdown of parts for YOUR item.
- Many of our customers need specific pots (controls) for their amps. The name/model of the amp, the FUNCTION of the pot and (if possible), the VALUE of the pot (i.e. 10KB) all help us get you the right part the first time.
- If you call us, try and have the item near you. One or two simple questions that you can answer only by LOOKING at the item can help us zero in on exactly which product you own, thereby helping us to get you the right part the first time.
THANKS FOR SHOPPING WITH THE GURU, WE'LL DO OUR BEST TO MEET YOUR NEEDS!
